Micke Wehner is making a nice gig rapport about New Media Meeting 3!
I have plugged my Scramble Software into the immersive 3D inflatable Dome and played for a while with no glitch at 180°!
It was the first time I was Veejing laying back on cushions!

NEW MEDIA MEETING is an annual international media art festival taking place in Norrköping, Sweden. The festival premiered in 2006 and is devoted to innovative works and projects in electronic art, media, music and visualization. In only two years NMM has become one of the most important media festivals in the Nordic Region – attracting an impressive line-up of renowned and upcoming international artists on the Media art and electronic music scene.

I'm in charge of the Live Visuals mix for the annual event Bästa DJ:Bar 2007 in the SanDisk "Silent Disco" room mixing loud visuals!

För fjärde gången är det dags att avgöra vilken bar i Sverige som är bäst på musik. 13 av landets bösta klubbar intar dj-båset och det är Du som avgör vem som är bäst.
Varmt välkommen till Sveriges Bästa DJ:Bar 2007 den 2 december på nya nattklubben Ambassadeur, Kungsgatan 18 kl 21.00.

I'm Video Jockeying at Lava for the Blipp-blopp-festival!

I will play my 3D graphitti software (wiimote) with the 8bits scrachs of CrazyQ and the Gameboy deconstructed melodies of Nitro2k01, sunday, 28th of october - 16h30 to 20h00.

About the Blipp-blopp-festival:

Den 27 och 28 oktober anordnar Microdisko i samarbete med Lava och OXO Unlimited en tvådagarsfestival för chipmusik, breakcore och circuitbending.

Helgen kommer både att innehålla live-framträdanden och workshops där du själv får pröva på att skapa chipmusik och breakcore, samt att själv circuitbenda leksaker.

Varje workshop kommer bestå av en intrduktion i ämnet och en chans att pröva på själv.

Prix Möbius Nordica competition and Pixelache together decided to give special awards to some of the most interesting projects in the Nordic VJ Meeting.
The jury members were Eva Bischof-Herlbauer & Gery Herlbauer (Austria) from 4youreye / Eye|Con, Gabor Kitzinger aka VJ Rio Rokoko (Hungary) and Nordic VJ Meeting programme director Petri Ruikka.

- Propaganda from Estonia
Because of the energy of their VJ performance and their skill in interpreting the music into images and visual rhythms. Their work takes into account the essential elements of VJing: the space, the audience, the other performers and the music.

- VJ Bertranol / Grains & Pixels performance
Creating a new platform for and at the same time looking into the future possibilities of integrated audiovisual performance. Creative approach in integrating real-time footage into live performance on digital platform.

- Bottega Arete + VJ Samesame + Casper Obro
Creative collaboration by using several VJ outputs together in an interesting way in live performance. Fresh and unexpected footage and the skill in taking into account the relation between the footage and display set-up.

I'm part of the Pixelache Nordic VJ meeting during the Pixelache 2007 Festival!

The Nordic/Baltic VJ scene is gathering in Helsinki and showing their skills in club events (organised in collaboration with Basso and ALAS), audiovisual jamming sessions as well as covert guerrilla actions around the city. The invited 30+ VJ acts are coming from all corners of the Nordic/Baltic region: Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The British music anthropologist, John Hutnyk, writes for example on his blogg:

The festival is radical, political and that rare glorious thing in the world of music festivalism, not at all governed by ’industry’ standards. Open ears and minds. Clandestino...!

Clandestino is now far from being a secret. Its reputation has spread, also outside Sweden-to Madrid, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, London and Beijing-where we have been working this past year. Artists that we are in contact with don’t require to be informed about the festival any longer. Information has spread at a furious speed through the network of artists, as well as the visitors that have been here.

It didn’t take long before an answer came back to us to the message that we left on San Francisco-based Micropixies’ website. The dub-legend John Wobble called us up from London when we were grabbing lunch at the restaurant Maharani at Järntorget. When the conversation slid into trying to define our musical genres, we both exclaimed, It’s so frustrating! Neither of us could pin down exactly what kind of music we were working with.
